Scholarship Opportunities at Tetso College

Tetso College provides a variety of scholarships and need based assistance for students. This aligns to our mission and vision to empower people towards lifelong excellence and to create a positive impact in the world. we recognise excellence in sports, academics and societal impact.

Students who are awaiting their results may also apply for scholarships.

Scholarship 2026

The scholarship is open to all students seeking undergraduate and postgraduate degrees at Tetso College, Sovima, Chümoukedima, Nagaland.

Tetso College National Scholarship 2026 (OPEN)

Apply for a merit-based scholarship offering up to 50% tuition fee waiver, along with need-based hostel fee support. Applicants with parental income below ₹3,00,000 must provide an income certificate to be considered for hostel concessions.

Eligibility:
  • All Boards except NBSE. (NBSE Scholarships already awarded)
  • Minimum 80% and above in Class XII.
  • Requires financial assistance.
Selection:
  • Shortlisted candidates will attend an online interview on 28th & 29th May 2026.
Additional Requirement:
  • Applicants are required to submit a recommendation letter from a recognized organization/institution, teacher or senior person of authority

Amount: Upto 50% coverage on all college and hostel fees
Description: Dr. P. S. Lorin Scholarship is targeted at Undergraduate and Postgraduate students. It aims to provide opportunities to students from financially weaker sections of society, particularly those residing in the far-flung areas of Nagaland, to pursue quality education with better access to facilities and academic learning tools.
Eligibility: Class 12 graduate/Undergraduate from any institute from an economically weak background. Recipients may have to undergo an interview and other assessments as and when required by the scholarship committee.

Scholarship Guidelines
The scholarship is open to all students graduating from North East India

Scholarship Award:
100% scholarship 1st Year 50% in suceeding years, 50% Hostel

Registration Process
Interested students must fill the Google form available on the college website before arriving for the entrance exam. A registration fee of ₹200 must be paid at the college (payment can be made on the day of the exam).
Students must bring their school ID card for verification on the exam day.

Eligibility: Only people earning less than 6 lakhs per annum or require financial assitance. Must have excellent academic records.

Sponsor: Tetso College under the patronage of the Council of Rengma Baptist Church
Amount: Upto 100% fees coverage in the First Year, upto 50% in Second and Third Year
Description: The Tetso CRBC Scholarship is awarded to a meritorious Rengma student nominated by the Council of Rengma Baptist Churches (CRBC) either at the Higher Secondary or Degree Level, offered only at the entry level (1st year).
Eligibility: Must be a member of the Council of Rengma Baptist Churches (CRBC). The applicant should come from an economically needy family that cannot support their children for higher education. The applicant must hold a minimum of 50% (HSLC/HSSLC) from any recognised board.

One time financial grant for those who require assistance but not qualify for other scholarship.
One-Time fee waiver at the time of admission of ₹5000/-

Amount: Upto 100% fees coverage in the First Year, up to 50% in Second and Third Year.
Description: The Tetso Excellence Scholarship is awarded to rank holders of any recognised Board for the Higher Secondary and Degree programme offered only at the entry level (1st year).
Eligibility: Rank Holders (HSLC/HSSLC) from any recognized Board/University.

Description: The Tetso Sports & Professional Scholarship is tailored to support both undergraduate and postgraduate students across diverse disciplines. Its primary objective is to empower students engaged in various professional activities or events, such as acting, music, and other creative pursuits, by offering financial assistance. The scholarship endeavors to foster a conducive environment where students can thrive in both their chosen professions and academic endeavors.
Eligibility: Class 12 passed /Graduate with certificates or documents on the said subject.

Sponsor: Governor of Nagaland
Amount: The Awardees will receive a certificate and items in kind.
Description: The Governor’s Dr. T Ao Scholarship was established when Honourable Governor of Nagaland, Shri P. B. Acharya visited Tetso College as the special guest on Scholastic day, 23rd January 2017. The Governor’s Dr. T. Ao Scholarship Award will be awarded to two students, one male and one female (sportsperson).
Eligibility: Must have participated or won in a State/National/International level event. Must have represented the College in an inter-college Sports event. Must be a sportsperson in any field.
