The Research and Development Cell, Tetso College initiated a GREAT Talks organized by the British Council on 2nd December 2024 on the topic 'Power of the Performing Arts to Communicate, Connect and Collaborate' with GREAT Speaker Dr Sharon Tonner-Saunders, Lecturer, University of Dundee.
Sharon Tonner-Saunders highlighted the power of the Performing Arts in education and emphasized their importance in developing artistic awareness and cultural responsiveness. By incorporating music, art, and drama into teaching practices, educators can create inclusive learning environments that cater to diverse learning styles, she added.
The GREAT Campaign is the UK government’s initiative to promote the UK internationally as a GREAT place to visit, study and do business. The British Council India is a partner in the GREAT campaign and through it, is raising awareness and promoting the UK’s strengths in education, English language, and the arts. The program aims to raise awareness on the opportunities in the UK in education through talks, panel discussions and workshops, while giving the speakers an opportunity to explore possibilities for academic partnerships.
